A Personal Story…..
I love Acupuncture and I throughly recommend it to anyone going through the menopause and finding it hard to deal with. I walk out of my treatment with Noah each time feeling completely relaxed and renewed. Noah has been practicing for over 30 years and is proficient at his craft and it shows. I was apprehensive before I went, I don’t know many people that wouldn’t be a little freak out about have needles stuck in them! My fears were mostly unfounded. Noah is skilled at inserting needles and for the most part, give or take a few points that are a little sore the needles weren’t an issue.
The first appointment entailed a detailed and comprehensive consultation where I discussed with Noah an health and well-being issues I was having with menopause and non-menopause related and issues. Noah was easy to talk to and explained how the treatment would go, he would carry out a basic treatment with additions personal to me based on what we had discussed.
I felt good after my first treatment but I felt amazing after subsequent treatments. I put that done to me getting used to the treatment and building a relationship with Noah. Each powerful treatment has worked on my nervous system, calmed my mind leaving me feeling serine, like my head has been emptied of all my worries and they are nowhere in sight.
As I continued with a weekly treatment I began to take better care of myself, eating better, exercising more and making time for relaxation and down time. These changes helped me to function better in all parts of my life, aches and pains reduced and problems became challenges to be overcome in a positive way. My energy level rocketed, I felt positive and happy. My hot sweats and flushes disappeared. The lifestyle changes acupuncture helped me to make had a positive effect all my menopause symptoms.
How does it work? Traditional Chinese medicine practitioners believe the human body has more than 2,000 acupuncture points connected by pathways or meridians. These pathways create an energy flow, referred to as Qi, through the body that is responsible for overall health. Disruption of the energy flow can cause disease.
My Qi (pronounced chi) balanced and I went from strength to strength. Lock down meant I was unable to see Noah, and new challenges arose. The first couple of months went well but I eventually felt the effects of the stresses around us. I am back to having treatments with Noah and I’m already feeling better but I have a little way to go but I’m very grateful to be able to visit Noah again!
