Nutritional Therapy with Taz
“Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care.” BANT
A nutritional therapist helps by playing a role in the treatment of symptoms caused by illness, and in the optimisation of good health. Rather than treating specific conditions, the aim is to enhance health. Whatever your health challenges, improvement is possible by simply finding the root cause, creating change and restoring balance.
The first aim in a consultation is to identify your goals so Taz can develop an appropriate and effective treatment plan. These goals can be simple like weight loss, or complex such as increasing energy levels as a result of poor sleep. Identifying, refining and reinforcing goals maintains motivation and focus in the process of regaining health.
Taz may recommend physiological tests such as blood, saliva, urine and stool tests to find the causes of specific problems.
Taz sees clients with a number health issues;
Taz has been a practicing therapist since 1998, having obtained a BSc in sport and exercise science and have completed practitioner qualifications in Amatsu, acupuncture, NLP and others in addition to gaining a diploma in nutritional therapy from The Institute for Optimum Nutrition. Taz is a member of BANT and the CHNC which regulate nutritional therapy as well as providing regular up to date training. He is a keen walker and climber.
